RAWALPINDI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), under its ongoing Tax Awareness Outreach Initiative, conducted a tax awareness session on income tax return filing for Tax Year 2025 at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi.
The session was organized by the Taxpayers’ Services Wing (TPS) on the directions of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member TPS Tehmina Aamer. The FBR team was led by Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz, Secretary (Tax Education & Facilitation), accompanied by Abdul Rehman, Second Secretary (Tax Facilitation), and other TPS officials.
Representatives from Pearl Continental Hotel, including Mujtaba (Director Finance), Jawad Khattak (Director People and Culture), Hamza Junani (Manager Learning & Development), and several department heads attended the event.
Mr. Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz opened the session with an overview of FBR’s role in promoting tax compliance and taxpayer facilitation, followed by a detailed presentation by Mr. Abdul Rehman on online income tax return filing and the use of FBR’s digital platforms.
Participants actively engaged in discussions, raising questions on tax compliance and filing procedures, which were addressed comprehensively by the FBR team. Attendees praised the initiative for fostering transparency and trust between taxpayers and the FBR.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A and the distribution of souvenirs among participants.
According to the FBR, such awareness sessions are part of its continued efforts to enhance taxpayer education, facilitate compliance, and promote a culture of voluntary tax payment nationwide.
