ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the cancellation of the Saturday holiday on December 27, 2025, to facilitate taxpayers and ensure timely year-end collection of taxes and duties.
According to an official circular, all major tax offices under the Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue—including Large Tax Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayer Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs)—will operate as usual on Saturday.
In addition, the FBR has extended office hours on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, with all relevant offices remaining open until 10:00 pm to maximize revenue collection and assist taxpayers in completing their year-end tax obligations.
