PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a new online application system for Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), allowing residents to apply, submit documents, pay fees, and track the status of their applications entirely online. The initiative is part of the provincial government’s plan to modernize public services, improve efficiency, and make essential services more accessible to citizens across KP.
A Police Clearance Certificate is an official document issued by the police confirming whether a person has a criminal record. It is commonly required for visa applications, overseas employment, university admissions abroad, government and private jobs, and long-term residency or travel purposes. Previously, obtaining a PCC required applicants to visit police stations in person, submit forms, and wait in long queues.
The new Police Sahulat Markaz app, available for both Android and iOS, allows users to:
- Apply for PCC and character certificates online
- Upload personal documents securely
- Pay fees digitally through mobile wallets
- Track application status in real-time
- Receive notifications and alerts about the application
- Save digital copies of certificates
How to Apply:
- Download and install the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Register an account using your CNIC and verify via OTP.
- Select certificate type and purpose (visa, employment, or travel).
- Upload required documents, including CNIC, passport (if applicable), photograph, and proof of residence.
- Pay fees digitally; a PSID number is generated for reference.
- Verification process is conducted digitally by the police.
- Certificate issuance – download the PDF from the app or collect it at the nearest Police Sahulat Markaz center.
The app ensures a faster, transparent, and convenient process, eliminating the need for physical visits and reducing delays caused by manual processing. Residents in all districts of KP, including remote areas, can now access police services easily from their homes or offices.
Eligibility: Applicants must be residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, possess a valid CNIC, provide accurate documents, and have access to a smartphone and the internet. Additional documents may be required for visa or employment-related applications.
This digital system represents a significant step toward streamlining public services and ensuring efficient, accessible, and paperless processing of Police Clearance Certificates across the province.
