Quetta: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized Non-Customs Paid (NCP) vehicles and contraband goods with a total assessed value of Rs. 235 million in a series of intelligence-based operations carried out across its jurisdiction.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the seizures included high-end vehicles such as Toyota Mark X and Honda Accord, along with dumper trucks, bowzers and trailers. Customs officials also recovered large quantities of contraband items, including betel nuts, tyres, Chinese salt, solar batteries and silver.
Officials said the actions were taken on the basis of credible intelligence as part of ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and illegal trade. The tentative CIF value of the seized vehicles and goods has been estimated at Rs. 235 million.
The FBR stated that the operations highlight Pakistan Customs’ continued commitment to protecting the national economy through strengthened border enforcement and anti-smuggling measures. The successful execution of the actions was made possible with the timely support and coordination of law enforcement agencies in Balochistan.
Reaffirming its stance, the FBR said it will continue strict enforcement against smuggling and illicit trade while maintaining close coordination with relevant agencies to safeguard lawful businesses and national economic interests.
