FBR Warns Textile Spinning Units of Import Ban, Blacklisting

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced strict enforcement against textile spinning units that fail to install the mandatory Digital Eye video analytics system. Non-compliant units may face import embargoes, blacklisting, penalties, and suspension of sales tax registration.

FBR Introduces Amendments to EFS Under Customs Rules 2001

Suppose an exporter was approved to import raw material worth Rs. 10 million under EFS. If they used Rs. 5 million worth of inputs and already exported finished goods before the allowed time, they can now import additional duty-free inputs up to Rs. 5 million — provided the product description and PCT codes remain unchanged and IOCO-approved.
