Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has categorically denied reports that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has rejected its request for a revision of tax targets.
The FBR issued a clarification stating that no such meeting with the IMF has taken place, and the subject of a tax target revision has not been discussed.
The FBR has urged media outlets to refrain from spreading false information that could negatively impact the country’s interests.
