Lahore, Pakistan: The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) has received praise from the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) for its efforts in resolving taxpayer complaints.
The LCCI highlighted the FTO’s role in resolving issues such as delays in receiving tax refund checks, containers stuck at ports, jurisdictional tax challenges, and banking issues related to car financing documentation.
The FTO has reduced the decision period for addressing complaints from 60 days to 37 days and has resolved a significant number of cases. The FTO has also been praised for its accessibility and responsiveness to taxpayer concerns. Business Recorder
The FTO has also been recognized for its humanitarian services, including the establishment of the Customs Healthcare Society which provides free medical care and clean water to underprivileged communities.
