Langrial Terms Digitalisation Central to FBR’s Reform Strategy

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial on Friday said that digital transformation remains the cornerstone of the FBR’s reform agenda, with phased process automation steadily reshaping the country’s tax administration.

According to an FBR statement, 136 probationary officers from the 53rd Common Training Programme, currently undergoing training at the Civil Services Academy, Lahore, visited the FBR headquarters in Islamabad, where they were briefed on ongoing reform initiatives.

Chairing the briefing session, the chairman said the FBR is pursuing reforms aimed at strengthening performance, transparency, accountability and merit. The probationary officers were also briefed on the FBR’s mandate, organisational structure and key functions, along with an overview of the authority’s modernisation efforts.
