The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) achieved its highest-ever annual revenue collection in fiscal year 2025-26, collecting Rs370.064 billion, reflecting a 20.17% increase compared to Rs307.930 billion collected during FY2024-25.
According to official figures, Sindh Sales Tax (SST) remained the largest contributor to revenue, with collections reaching Rs344.602 billion during FY2025-26. This represents a 21.2% increase from Rs284.377 billion collected in the previous fiscal year, highlighting strong growth in provincial tax revenues.
Revenue generated through the Sindh Workers’ Welfare Fund (SWWF) and the Sindh Companies Profits Workers’ Participation Fund (SWPF) also recorded positive growth. Combined collections under these funds increased to Rs24.435 billion from Rs22.253 billion a year earlier, registering a 10% rise.
For the first time, the Sindh Revenue Board also collected Agricultural Income Tax (AIT), generating more than Rs1 billion during its inaugural year of implementation, adding a new source of provincial tax revenue.
The board concluded the fiscal year with its strongest monthly performance on record. In June 2026, SRB collected Rs45.08 billion, the highest monthly revenue in its history and a 28.3% increase compared to Rs35.15 billion collected in May 2026.
Despite challenging economic conditions, including slower business activity and the impact of regional tensions on revenue collection during the second half of the fiscal year, SRB maintained strong revenue growth.
Officials credited the record-breaking performance to improved tax administration, the dedication of SRB officers and staff, continued support from the Government of Sindh, and the cooperation of taxpayers, which helped the authority achieve its highest-ever annual revenue collection.
