Super Tax Case – FCC Informed Arguments Completed by 100 Out of 150 Lawyers

The Federal Constitutional Court has adjourned the hearing of the super tax case until Tuesday after learning that arguments from more than 100 of the 150 lawyers involved have been completed. The court is hearing appeals filed by the Federal Board of Revenue against judgments of various high courts challenging the imposition of super tax under the Income Tax Ordinance.

FTO Clarifies President’s Decision on FBR Representation

The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat has clarified that the President of Pakistan has neither overturned FTO decisions nor curtailed its statutory powers.
