FBR Extends Income Tax Return Filing Deadline to October 31, 2025

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a 16-day extension for filing income tax returns for the tax year 2025, moving the deadline from October 15 to October 31, 2025.

An FBR spokesperson confirmed the decision, stating that the extension was granted to accommodate widespread requests from trade bodies, tax bar associations, and the public.

This marks the second extension granted by the FBR — the first had moved the original deadline from September 30 to October 15. The latest extension aims to facilitate taxpayers facing difficulties in completing their returns within the earlier timeframe.
