KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a dedicated one-stop tax facilitation desk at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi to provide technical support and improve digital tax services for businesses in the city.
According to an official statement, the Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) Front Desk became operational on June 5, 2026, following directives from the Prime Minister and requests from Karachi’s business community.
The facilitation center is headed by a Chief (Inland Revenue Operations) and supported by a specialized PRAL team. Equipped with modern IT infrastructure, the desk has been set up to assist taxpayers with a wide range of tax-related digital services.
The newly established facility will offer on-site support for issues related to IRIS, e-filing, taxpayer registration, online tax payments, sales tax return filing, tax refunds, and other FBR digital platforms.
FBR said the initiative is aimed at enhancing taxpayer facilitation, improving service delivery, encouraging voluntary tax compliance, and ensuring uninterrupted access to online tax systems.
The tax authority added that the dedicated support center reflects the government’s commitment to using technology to build a more efficient, transparent, and responsive tax administration system while addressing the needs of the business community in Karachi.
