KPRA Records 21% Growth in Sales Tax on Services During Jul–Mar FY2025-26

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority has reported a strong 21% year-on-year increase in Sales Tax on Services collection during the first nine months (July–March) of fiscal year 2025–26.

According to official data, the authority collected Rs. 34.60 billion in Sales Tax on Services, compared to Rs. 28.60 billion in the same period last year—an increase of Rs. 6 billion. The growth highlights improved tax compliance, strengthened enforcement measures, and expansion of the province’s service sector tax base.

Overall, KPRA generated Rs. 38.80 billion in total revenue during Jul–Mar FY2025-26. This includes Rs. 34.60 billion from Sales Tax on Services and Rs. 4.20 billion collected under Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC), reinforcing the authority’s steady revenue performance.

Director General KPRA, Irum Naz, praised the efforts of officers and staff, attributing the growth to effective planning, consistent enforcement, and institutional commitment.

She noted that sustained growth in Sales Tax on Services reflects KPRA’s strategic focus, improved compliance levels, and the dedication of its workforce. She also expressed confidence that the authority will meet its annual revenue targets through a continued data-driven approach.

The DG extended appreciation to taxpayers for their cooperation, emphasizing their critical role in maintaining revenue growth. She also acknowledged the leadership support of Muhammad Sohail Afridi and Muzzammil Aslam, stating that their guidance has significantly contributed to strengthening revenue mobilization in the province.
