PRA Moves to Enroll Long-Term Non-Taxpayers

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has announced measures to bring individuals and companies that have long remained outside the tax system into the formal taxation framework.

Under the new directive, all service-providing companies in the province must register with the PRA, enroll in the E-Invoicing Monitoring System (EIMS), and ensure timely payment of their taxes.

A review meeting on field operations, revenue targets, and EIMS registration was held on Wednesday under PRA Chairman Muazzam Iqbal Sipra. Performance gaps were noted in the Sargodha and Bahawalpur divisions for missing targets.

The Chairman ordered a comprehensive training program for all field teams this month to strengthen operational capacity and urged intensified field operations while facilitating taxpayers to encourage voluntary compliance. District commissioners and enforcement officers joined via video link.
