The Sindh Board Control Authority (SBCA) has been ordered to deposit millions of rupees collected as Sindh Sales Tax into the government treasury after failing to do so for an extended period.
In its final communication to the DG of SBCA, the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) directed that all funds collected under Sindh Sales Tax be immediately transferred to the designated account of the Sindh government.
The SBCA had deducted over Rs7 crore from 272 government and non-government entities providing taxable services, covering the period from July 2024 to June 2025. Despite repeated instructions, the amount remains undeposited, with the authority reportedly delaying the process and raising conflicting opinions on related NTN numbers.
The SRB has ordered the concerned officer to deposit the full amount and submit a compliance report, stressing that this notice serves as the final directive on the matter.
