SRB Extends Agricultural Income Tax Return Deadline to October 31

KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has officially extended the deadline for submitting Agricultural Income Tax (AIT) returns to October 31, 2025, offering taxpayers additional time for compliance.

The original deadline of September 30, 2025, has been extended by one month with the approval of the Sindh government. This move is intended to provide ease and flexibility to individuals and businesses required to file AIT returns.

According to the SRB’s latest notification, taxpayers who were previously obligated to file by the end of September can now do so by the end of October without incurring any late fees or penalties. The extension is aimed at encouraging accurate and timely filings.

To support this process, the SRB has enhanced its online tax filing system, allowing taxpayers to register using their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and a valid mobile number. The portal also supports secure payments through digital channels such as mobile banking apps, ATMs, and over-the-counter transactions at designated banks.

This digital initiative is part of the SRB’s broader strategy to streamline tax processes and advance digital governance within the province. The board has also made available updated filing instructions, video tutorials, and FAQs on its official website to help users navigate the system.

Taxpayers are advised to make use of the extended deadline to avoid any fines or legal consequences and ensure their returns are submitted accurately and on time.
