LAHORE: A delegation from the British High Commission met Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Supra to review provincial economic development plans and ongoing reforms in the tax system. According to a PRA spokesperson, the discussion focused on challenges related to harmonizing and enforcing sales tax laws in Punjab.
The meeting also covered proposals to boost provincial tax revenue and strengthen coordination with other provinces. The three-member delegation appreciated PRA’s reform efforts and shared recommendations for a collaborative work plan covering key sectors such as banking, telecommunications, information technology and insurance.
Both sides agreed to establish a joint working platform made up of technical experts and PRA officials to support improvements in tax collection.
