FBR Announces All Offices Remain Open on January 31

Islamabad: In a move aimed at facilitating taxpayers and ensuring smooth revenue collection, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed that all tax offices across the country will remain open on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

According to the directive, Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers’ Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) will observe January 31, 2026, as a normal working day. All these offices will remain operational for the collection of duties and taxes, allowing taxpayers additional time to fulfill their tax obligations before the end of the month.

The decision is part of FBR’s ongoing efforts to enhance taxpayer facilitation, improve compliance, and avoid last-minute congestion at tax offices. By keeping offices open on a weekend, the authority aims to provide relief to individuals and businesses who may face difficulties during regular working days.

Taxpayers are advised to visit their respective tax offices during normal office hours on Saturday to ensure timely payment and processing of their tax matters.
