KPRA Revenue Surges 41% in First Nine Months of FY 2024-25

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has demonstrated strong revenue performance in the first three quarters of the ongoing fiscal year 2024-25, achieving a total collection of Rs 37.37 billion.

This represents a substantial 41% increase when compared to the Rs 26.58 billion collected during the same nine-month period in the previous fiscal year. The year-on-year growth amounts to an additional Rs 10.79 billion in revenue for the authority.

According to figures released by KPRA, the largest portion of the collection came from the Sales Tax on Services, which generated Rs 28.8 billion. The remaining Rs 8.57 billion was collected under the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC).

Comparing these streams to the previous year reveals significant growth in both areas. Collections from Sales Tax on Services saw a 26% rise (up from Rs 22.8 billion last year). Revenue from the IDC experienced an even more dramatic increase, surging by 129% compared to the Rs 3.74 billion collected in the first nine months of the last fiscal year.

Fouzia Iqbal, the Director General of KPRA, praised the efforts of the authority’s staff, crediting their hard work and dedication for achieving these impressive results.
