LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has decided to launch immediate enforcement action against non-filers and businesses under-reporting sales, as part of its broader administrative and legal reforms agenda.
The decision was taken during the authority’s 130th meeting, chaired by PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra.
To enhance transparency in tax collection, the meeting approved sector-wise expansion of the Electronic Invoice Monitoring System (e-IMS). It was also agreed that enforcement teams will begin wearing uniforms while on duty.
The session further discussed proposals for a new service structure for PRA officers and staff, and reviewed recommended amendments to the Sales Tax on Services Act.
