LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has identified widespread non-compliance among housing societies, builders, and farmhouses across the province. Major discrepancies were also found in the sales records of several prominent hotels, restaurants, and food chains.
The disclosure came during a meeting chaired by PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra on Friday. He directed the Commissioner of Lahore Division to issue immediate registration and tax notices to all defaulters. Vigilance teams have already compiled bill records, and enforcement actions will soon follow. Over 100 farmhouses in Lahore alone were found non-compliant.
Chairman Sipra further instructed a thorough review of records for hotels, marquees, marriage halls, and event management companies, warning of strict action against tax misreporting and fake invoicing. All Additional Deputy Commissioners have been tasked with conducting weekly revenue target reviews for the current month.
