PSEB Invites Proposals for Federal Budget 2026–27 to Boost IT & ITeS Growth

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has invited comprehensive proposals from stakeholders to help shape the Federal Budget for FY 2026–27, with a focus on accelerating growth in the country’s IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) sector.

According to PSEB, the initiative aims to ensure that next year’s federal budget reflects industry realities, addresses operational challenges, and incorporates policy measures that can drive sustainable expansion of the digital economy. The Board emphasized that industry feedback is essential for crafting effective fiscal recommendations.

Stakeholders have been asked to submit proposals that are practical, measurable, and geared towards three priority areas:

  • Improving ease of doing business for IT and ITeS firms
  • Ensuring long-term, sustainable sectoral growth
  • Enhancing ICT export remittances, a key driver of Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings

PSEB noted that contributors may refer to the Finance Bill 2025 and the Income Tax Ordinance for guidance while preparing their recommendations.

Submissions can be made through the designated online form until Tuesday, December 16, 2025. For further details or clarifications, stakeholders may contact the Manager (Policy) at PSEB via email or through the official helpline.

The outreach is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen Pakistan’s digital ecosystem, support tech exports, and ensure the upcoming budget aligns with the needs of one of the country’s most promising economic sectors.
