LAHORE – Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has uncovered extensive tax non-compliance among housing societies, builders, and farmhouses across the province, along with manipulation in sales records of major hotels, restaurants, and food chains.
The disclosure came during a meeting chaired by PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra on Friday. He directed the Commissioner Lahore Division to issue immediate notices for registration and tax payment to all defaulters. Vigilance teams have compiled detailed bill records, paving the way for enforcement actions.
Over 100 farmhouses in Lahore alone were found non-compliant. The Chairman also ordered a thorough review of hotels, marquees, marriage halls, and event management companies, warning strict action against tax misreporting or fake invoicing. All Additional Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to monitor weekly revenue targets closely.
